Pastries to Go

It has been a hard, long day and I finally got done with my hostess gift for tomorrow. I generally look forward to making them, and I did today too. I don’t know why but today has been a day of wrongs. None of the food came out quite how I wanted them to. I spent four solid hours in the kitchen trying to set the wrongs right. And now, I am too tired to type. So here are the pics.

Ps: by the time I packed them all up, the sun had set, hence I lost day light to click pics. And we leave early to Atlanta because we have a long list of Indian grocery to buy, friends to visit and drop into IKEA (which I looooove doing), which means going from CST to EST and the whole long drive. I had to make do with the weird lighting in the dining room. So, please adjust.

Pictured here are French macaroon sandwich cookies and lemon curd tartlets. I left the chocolate tart with raspberry coulis.

  1. Aiyyo Vaishu, I wish i were in Alabama with you to taste all this. Keep it up. The pleasure it gives , i’m sure, would be worth the trouble.

    • don’t start on that, ma. I have a long list of dishes I want to cook for you when you come here. After all, as my blog info goes, you are a major inspiration to me 🙂
